A surgical face mask is required for anyone over the age of 2 to enter the clinic. Please ask one of the Greeter Team at the front door if you require one. If you have a fabric mask on, you will be asked to swap for a surgical one.
COVID-19 'Fit To Fly' travel testing at Riccarton Clinic for those travelling who need to provide evidence of a negative COVID-19 test or of having had a COVID-19 vaccination. We perform both PCR and RAT tests.

We are currently offering ‘Fit to Fly’ PCR COVID-19 testing at 6 Yaldhurst Rd from 9:00am - 5:00pm seven days per week. This is by appointment only. View our location here.
NO WALK-INS. You must arrange a time to come in by phoning 035951457 between 9:00am - 4:30pm. We currently do not accept email bookings unless you are based outside of Christchurch.
Once you have made your appointment you will then return on that appointment day/time to 4 Yaldhurst Road, to have your test/swab.

To book a pre-flight swab and/or blood test, please call us on 035951457 between 9:00am-4:30pm to arrange a time to come in and consult with our "Fit to Fly" booking specialists who will organise the optimal appointment time for this to be done.
Please note, we currently do not accept email bookings unless you are based outside of Christchurch.
There are lots of variables as to the cost of testing - between $200.00 for a single swab and $505.00 for the swab and blood test as required by China. If the tests are carried out on weekends or public holidays, then additional fees apply.

What you need to know:
- The airline or embassy will advise you of when your test is required to be carried out.
- You can only book your ‘Fit to Fly’ appointment once you have confirmed your booking and received this information.
- We do not book appointments from emails. You will need to phone us on 03 595 1457 to arrange a time to come into the the clinic to book a ‘Fit to Fly’ testing appointment (Space is limited at this site due to social distancing).
- An administrative fee of $20.00 per person is chargeable if you cancel your ‘Fit to Fly’ appointment at any time.
- Standard PCR test results take up to 48 hours to come back after the test has been done.
- The Fit to Fly certificate is then completed and will be available for you to collect or we can email
What we require from you at the time of booking your appointment:
- The appointment date you need to be tested, as provided by your airline or embassy.
- A completed Fit To Fly Patient Information Sheet.
- A completed Fit To Fly Travel Information Sheet.
- A copy of your passport, including your passport name and date of birth.

Evidence of Vaccination
Evidence of vaccination can be obtained from My Covid Record: Proof of Vaccination Status at no charge. If further verification is required by us, the cost of a certificate is $75.00 within 48 hours, or an urgent certificate is $90.00.
