You may have seen recent media reports about a cybersecurity incident affecting some patient portals in New Zealand. We want to reassure you that our practice uses the Well app, which is designed differently.
Well does not extract or store full patient records outside our systems. Your medical record remains securely managed by our practice as the trusted source.
Because of this, patients using Well are not impacted by the risk described in the media coverage. No action is required—you can continue using the app as normal.
We did have Manage My Health previously and we have been advised that if any of our patients have been affected, they will be connected directly by Manage My Health in the coming days.
